Clinical Services

The PARC Clinic for People with Developmental Disabilities is a community-based program which provides comprehensive clinical services to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

The Clinic Treatment Program has as its foundation an interdisciplinary treatment team approach. This team is composed of professionals from those disciplines and service areas that are relevant for identifying an individual's needs and interests, designing a program to meet those needs and interests, providing the indicated services, periodically reviewing the individual's response and revising the plan of service accordingly.

The clinical interdisciplinary team works together with the individual with developmental disabilities, his or her family and other agency team members to deal with the problems and maturational needs which occur throughout the life of the individual.

The interdisciplinary team will be composed of some or all of the following clinical disciplines:

  • Psychiatry
  • Psychology
  • Social Work
  • Dietary/Nutrition
  • Physical Therapy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Speech Therapy
  • Rehabilitation Counseling

Each clinical team member will have several roles and responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Providing direct service in his/her discipline.
  • Supporting and advocating for the individuals on his/her caseload.
  • Attending and participating in treatment team case conferences and reviews.
  • Providing consultation to other program and residence staff, family members, etc.

There is a Treatment Coordinator assigned who will coordinate the services provided by clinic team members and assure that a plan of service is established for each person and as appropriate his/her family, based on the individual's needs and interests. Treatment Coordinators may be members of any professional discipline and will act as a liaison between the clinical team and other programs/persons.
