After-School/Work Program

We offer an after-school/work program, named PARCentral, for teenagers and young adults with developmental disabilities, ages 14 through 30, between the hours of 3:00 pm and 6:15 pm, Tuesday through Friday. The program provides young people the opportunity to socialize outside of school/work with people their own age and provides recreational activities, community outings and events, homework assistance, and social skills training. Leisure and educational activities include arts & crafts, computer games, exercise group, cooking, reading, music, and tabletop games. The program’s focus is on fostering independence, building social skills, developing friendships, enhancing community participation, and providing respite to family caregivers while they are at work.
