PARC Volunteer Program

The goal of the PARC Volunteer Program is to involve members of the community in activities of the organization to the greatest extent possible.

Who should volunteer?  PARC accepts volunteers from all walks of life.

Youth:

Build your college resume and add to your skill-set while completing community service. PARC welcomes youth from area schools to volunteer in one of our programs.

Retirees:

From a few hours per month to several hours per week, PARC is interested in what you have to offer.  We will match your lifetime experience with our needs.

Groups:

Groups of all kinds (work groups, parent groups, etc.) are encouraged to volunteer. If you are interested in assisting at a seasonal event, or would like to come in and provide a specialized service, we have a place for you.

Interns:

Complete your field placement at PARC.  Many disciplines (including but not limited to social work; dance, music & art therapy; psychology; marketing and public administration) are welcome as are various degree levels.

There are many ways you can volunteer your time.  We will place you within an area of service that matches your interests and passions as well as what fits best into your schedule.  Some activities may include:

  • Arts and crafts groups

  • Recreational events (movies, sports, beauty parlor, holiday events and more)

  • Teaching life skills (reading, writing, budgeting)

  • Preschool activities

  • Clerical assistance

  • After-school activities

  • Project work (gardening, painting, etc.)

  • Accompanying a consumer to weekly religious services

And many, many more!

Your experience as a PARC volunteer will most definitely enrich your life and the lives of the people we serve.
